Final Magazine Photoshoot

The images shown are just a few of the images taken during my photoshoot. I have experimented with poses and positions to try and make my model look like she is full of attitude and is confident. I have also taken a few images of the model relaxed which will go on the double page spread showing the more fun side of the character. I have also tried to pick the models clothes to reflect her character. I chose the leopard print trousers as these are unique and also have connotations of fierce and feistyness which fit in with the name of my artist (Sahsa Fierce).

Flan Plan for Final Magazine Contents page

The opposite image shows my flat plan idea for my contents page. It has quite a simple layout however will be quite busy as this is the conventional thing for a magazine of my style to be like.

The different sub sections will be in different colours to help make them easier to make out. There will probably only be 2 images on the contents page, one of the front cover and one large one related to an inside story.

The image will also have a border around the edge of the page which will be the same as the cover background to make a connection and consistancy between the two pages.

Flan Plan for Final Magazine Front cover

The image opposite shows my flan plan idea for the front page of my magazine Out Loud. Out Loud was the chosen name for my magazine which was decided by asking my target audience which was their favourite name out of a list of about 5.

The cover image of my magazine will be quite unique and unusaul as it will feature a long shot of a star rather than the conventional medium close up. The star will be placed along the right hand side of the page and the cover lines will be left alligned on the left hand side of the page.

There will be a banner along the bottom of the page along with the barcode and price etc. The star on the front cover will be cut out and placed onto a starry background created on Photoshop similar to the one created on the previous mock up.

Cover Idea with Text

After playing around with the image on Photoshop I decided that I would see what it would look like with some text. I have used a limited number of font styles to keep it looking professional, however have made sure the ones I have used are relevant. The colours also used on the page are limited and all work well with each other. I really like the main heading of the artists name as I think it really reflects the genre and stands out as the most important piece of information. I don't think that the 'Get "the" winter look' or top 100 singles really works though as the don't fit in with the rest of the page. Also the artists feet should just be visible and not covered by any of the banners or text.

Front cover idea

The image opposite is an idea as to what I would like my magazine cover to look like. I really like the idea of having a black starry background with the white title as I think this looks really well. The stars have a connotations of being out of this world. I also think that this would be appealing to my target audience as it is quite cool and unique. The pose of the model also shows attitude fitting in with my target audience. I also really like the masthead font as it reflects my target audience and is fun and unique.

Research- Mood Board

The image above is of my initial mood board for my magazine. It shows the first few ideas that I about what I could include in my magazine. This is really useful to me as it will give me a starting point to work with for my idea. I have decided that I would like to produce a music magazine that also includes fashion, celebrity and gossip which is what is most appealing to my target audience which would be young people from the age of around 14. The images show some of the poses and compositions which I think would be appropriate for my magazine cover. The font styles at the bottom of the page show some ideas for the masthead. The one that I really like is the font in the bottom right hand corner.
